| 27 | Description of problem | I and a number of others have had an extremely bad experience with an eBay seller by the name of twiisted_mods. They offer an 18 month guarantee on their Xboxs sold. I purchased on May 29, 2008. It took 24 days for the unit to arrive after a number of emails trying to find out what the delay was.
The unit arrived DOA, and I called and received instructions to send it back for replacement. Also shipping back to seller was to be refunded. On their instructions I sent it back to them UPS 2day. Guaranteed that replacement unit would ship the same day that they received the returned Unit. It took two more weeks to receive the replacement, and it functioned for approximately 15 days.
I went back on eBay to get the seller information and found that a number of other buyers have had the same problem. Also their (800) number was not working. I sent another e-mail and eBay contact message and finally got a response to send the unit back and they would replace it.
Again I sent it back and waited another week without hearing anything from them. Their policy stated that they ship replacements the same day they receive the defective unit back.
Finally got a response to an e-mail asking for information and was given a shipping number.
The unit arrived with no packing material and no insurance. It has a cracked case and is DOA (RROD). This is the 3rd replacement.
As soon as I received this latest unit I tried to contact the seller by phone, eBay contact and e-mail. Have had no response.
Because of the delay in shipping and them shipping broken units it has gone beyond the eBay 30 day dispute and the 45 day paypal window. I have written back to twiisted_mods asking them to please correct the issue or refund my purchase price. God knows there is no way to get the shipping charges of the 3 units that I have had to send back paid by me refunded. |
