| 27 | Description of problem | psychill, aka Larry Streight, bought a game editor, a WEEK later contacted me to get payment information since the email address given to yahoo(which is where I sent the first payment information notice) was bad, after I sent payment information for the second time he immediately left misleading neutral feedback on yahoo implying there was some problem that I needed to work out when he had not even paid for the auction yet. Apparently some type of leverage ploy to force a seller to do what he wanted,(you can change feedback later there), then a MONTH after the auction ended, he finally sends payment, then after recieving what he ordered he adds additional negative feedback on yahoo which says he is waiting for a response from me, of course at this point he has NOT contacted me or notified me that there was any problem whatsoever with the order.
Of course I am sure you are saying Why is he leaving feedback at all? I wondered the same thing, he was using feedback like some type of progress report without all the facts. He had absolutely no reason to leave any feedback at this point because he had not given me any opportunity to work out any problems he thought he was having.
THEN he sends an email saying his cdrom drive wont read the CD and when he tried to defeat the copy protection his computer locked up. So he never installed my software, his cd drive could not read it, he could not defeat the copy protection on an obviously copy protected CD to copy the files(from his HP cd burner), and when he tried he crashed his computer. Then he left negative feedback for ME without giving me any opportunity to provide technical support or to replace the CD, then he emails expecting immediate support when he has already left negative feedback. He never mentioned anything about scratches on the CD(which was shipped in an approved CD mailer envelope specially designed to protect CDs) but I asked if there were any scratches that might prevent his computer from reading the CD, he responded and went on and on about how it was covered with scratches, yet if it had so many obvious scratches, why did he never say anything about it in his first email.
I still was nice enough to send a tested replacement CD even after he left the false negative fedback, AND the misleading neutral feedback, I waited a week, plenty of time for him to receive the CD and correct his false rating on yahoo.
I send a CD that I know for sure was good, because I installed it on another computer just to be 100% positive I did not have a bad CD or a bad copy of the software. (which I might add has been successfully installed hundreds of times with no problems).
I waited and waited but he never corrected his false feedback so I left negative feedback relating the straight facts paid 1 month late, left misleading neutral feedback, then left false negative feedback before contacting me Then he sends me an email all upset that I would leave him honest negative feedback, of course he expected me to just accept his false negative feedback and say nothing. Then he procedes to leave several additional comments on my feedback profile claiming now that the second CD was also bad, well this is news to me, he never said there was anything wrong with it before. So far he lied in his feedback twice, apparently lied about scratches on the first CD, and with his history appears he has found a new convenient lie to justify his original false feedback. I also know for a fact the second CD was good.
Here is an interesting follow up, another customer had a problem with one of my CDs so I sent her a refund, that is just how business is done, very easy. If this psychill guy had simply notified me that he was having problems I would have gladly sent a refund, but instead he decides to post misleading and false feedback instead of notifying me of his problems and giving me the opportunity to work out a solution. |
